Conductrics Version Updates
What to expect during a Conductrics Update
We are always making improvements to Conductrics, whether that's fixing bugs, making UI improvements, or adding whole new features. Then we roll those changes out to you as a minor or major version update.
The good news is you typically won't have to do anything, other than approve the update.
You may have gotten a link to this page from our support team, because of an upcoming update to Conductrics. Please feel free to reach out to them if you have any questions, or contact us at [email protected].
Why is an update required?
Generally speaking, updates are required for:
- Giving you access to a new feature via a "minor" update, or
- Getting you the next "major" version of Conductrics per our Announcements page, or
- Applying a security or stability-related fix.
What to expect during an update
During most routine updates:
- The "runtime" part of Conductrics, which is what powers your actual Conductrics experiments, agents, surveys, and other functionality for your sites or apps, is generally NOT affected.
- The Conductrics Admin will be inaccessible for a short period, typically 5-10 minutes. During this time, your team will be redirected to our login page, which will show a "currently disabled while we perform some maintenance" message.
Occasionally, we will need to apply an update that includes downtime for your actual experiments / agents / surveys. We will let you know if this is the case (it's rare).
When do updates take place?
- For customers using a Private Conductrics Environment, we will reach out to find a day and time that works for your team. Or feel free to discuss with us via your usual Conductrics support contact, or at [email protected].
- For customers on a Shared Conductrics Environment, we will notify you when an update has been completed. We will also notify you ahead of time if the update is expected to include any actual downtime for your active experiments / agents (rare).
If you've seen a feature announcement that you'd like to get access to sooner rather than later, please feel free to request an update from us as well. Reach out via your usual Conductrics support contact, or at [email protected].
