We're happy to share our first update of 2025, with a number of enhancements that came directly from your teams.

For those of you using private Conductrics environments, we'll be in touch to coordinate the timing of the update.

New Features

Also Added

  • Reporting Snapshots can now be created to save snapshots of your agent's Activity Report and Testing Report numbers, for instance to capture and compare iterative "runs" of an experiment. #533
  • Simplified Visitor Eligibility Percentage at the agent level, for when you only want to include a percentage of visitors in your experiments or other agents. You can also schedule changes to the Eligibility Percentage, to automate "soft rollouts" and similar needs. #586 #937
  • Data Layer: Added a Custom Event Template option for fine-tuning what's included in the variation-selection events we push into your Data Layer. You can also turn the pushes off entirely. #1058
  • Goals: You can specify a Time Window during which Goals should be accepted after the original variation selection for a given visitor. #1065
  • Define Custom Geo Areas for targeting by city/metro area and similar scenarios. #566
  • Added a Client-Side Counting for REST API option for certain client/server scenarios. #1047
  • Your Custom JS for Express agents is now minified by default when packaged up for the CDN. You can opt-out via "Minify your Preboot JS and Custom JS code" in your Deploy Target's Advanced Settings if you prefer non-minified code (perhaps in a dev/staging environment). #1082
  • Added Use Substitute Deploy Target for QA setting at the Deploy Target level, providing an easier workflow for teams that do their Previewing and QA in Production. This feature is in Beta at this time, please reach out if you'd like to discuss. #1064
  • You can enforce a lower number of REST API "commands" allowed per API call, via Advanced Settings at the REST API Deploy Target level. #1110
  • You can now specify which Deploy Targets each of your Runtime API Keys should be valid for. #1105
  • Deploys to the CDN and REST API complete faster in some scenarios. #1096
  • Added "Meta-Data: Randomize Using Delimiter" option, available via an API Agent's Advanced Settings. #1138
  • A new Snowplow Connector is now available in Beta form. #1203 **

Admin Console Adjustments

  • Activity Report: If you make the Variation column smaller (by dragging its column divider), the numeric columns to the right will auto-resize to fill the remaining space. #902
  • Dashboard: Added "View Options" to open agents in popups vs new tabs vs the same window, and made improvements to the default Team selection. #825 #1141
  • The Usage Stats report has been moved to its own page in the Admin. #575
  • The Settings Menu in the top nav bar has been reorganized a bit.
  • You can view uploaded icons/images for your agents and variations in a larger size. #1092
  • Improved Admin Performance for Conductrics accounts with larger numbers of Express agents. #1082
  • You can now create Conditions that specifically target visitors where the Do-Not-Track or Global Privacy Control flags have been set in the browser (or where the browser refuses to allow access to cookies or local storage due to being in a private browsing window, etc). #1100
  • Improvements to the Bulk-Select tool in the main dashboard view. #1103
  • Improvements to the Edits window on an Agent's main page. #1112

  • Minor UX improvements to the Deploy Target "sidebar" in an Agent's home page.
  • Refined the UI for providing "Custom Inputs" in the API Testbed. #1221 **
  • Added a confirmation step when uploading a CSV for a Lookup Table with existing records. **

Survey Enhancements

  • Added a Include in Data Layer option at the Survey-Question level to include/exclude individual answers when Conductrics pushes a visitor's survey response into the data layer. #1131
  • Added a Character Limit option for open-text "Feedback" questions, and you can customize a "characters remaining" message next to the text area. #1121
  • Added a Allow Surveys for DNT Visitors option for specific scenarios where you want to allow survey responses to be collected but where you don't have consent for general experimentation / tracking. #1119
  • Survey Responses view: Improved the available date range when toggling between Production and QA numbers. Also clarified the counts in the right-hand sidebar for multiple-choice survey questions that allow more than one answer. #1081 #1127
  • Users with the Agent Author role can now save changes to a survey. #1074
  • You can now use Eligibility JS and Eligibility Selectors for Survey Agents. #1139
  • We can now disable certain types of Survey Questions (such as "Feedback" questions which allow for open-text answers) if your company's policies require it. Contact Conductrics for details. #1142

Flowlet-Related Enhancements

  • The Deploy Now modal now lists Flowlets that have changed since the last deploy. #1182 **
  • Added a white "dot" indicator for Flowlet nodes that have conditions at the node level. **
  • Added an orange indicator for Flowlet nodes that have "warnings" (such as agents no longer active). **
  • Improved layout/spacing of Flowlet diagram and other UI refinements in Flowlet views. #1218 **

Fixes

  • Improved the background process that triggers SRM, Low Traffic, and other data-related alerts.#936
  • After duplicating an agent with a start/stop schedule, the duplicate could retain the "Scheduled" label in the admin. #936
  • Corrected problems that could occur when saving or making changes to an agent with Done/Archived status. #1059 #1086
  • The Admin will no longer allow invalid CSS selectors to be provided for View-States. #1078
  • Some of the sidebar filters under Settings > Notifications > History weren't working correctly. #1085
  • GA4 events now include a conductrics_selection_policy property. #1097
  • For Two-Way Redirect Agents, visitors for which cookies or local storage can't be set (due to the Do-Not-Track or Global Privacy Control flags being set, or because they are using a private-browsing window in some browsers) are now excluded entirely, rather than getting potentially redirected to the "A" variation. #1101
  • For WYS agents, multiple Change Styles changes using the same property and value (such as setting the same background-color to multiple areas) could cause only the first to actually be applied. #1114
  • Validation "errors" in one Flowlet (such as containing references to an agent that no longer exists) could block saving changes to other Flowlets. #1037
  • The "Copy To" button for Flowlets could fail to work as expected. #1164
  • Improved sorting in the Activity Report for Agents with many variations. #1132
  • Addressed an XSS vulnerability in the Conductrics "WYS" editing tools. See XSS Vulnerability in Conductrics WYSIWYG Module for details. #1115

Chrome Extension Deprecation

Sadly, our Chrome Extension is no longer available in the Chrome Web Store. 🥲 However, you can generally use our Preview Launcher instead, which provides similar functionality. #1113

Rather than replacing the extension, we are building an on-page overlay instead which will be available in any browser. Let us know if you have any specific suggestions! 🙋
